Birdseye Maple Bass

Birdseye Maple Bass This bass, of Chinese origin, was hand-picked by our staff on a recent trip to Beijing. The bass is made from a stunning selection of Birdseye maple wood, used on the ribs, back and scroll along with a solid spruce top. The finely aged wood, along with the hand applied spirit varnish make for an instrument that is an excellent showpiece for the advanced student. The bass is professionally set up in our Ann Arbor shop with Pirastro Flexocor Deluxe strings, High quality geared tuners and the New Harmony Endpin. The rich and developed sound from this instrument is sure to impress as much as the wood selection! A unique one of a kind instrument!
