Höfner Vintage Series violin, 4/4 size. Höfner's best makers select each piece of maple and spruce from their oldest stock of tonewood, air-dried for decades. Bergonzi model. Built on a 1734 example by Carlo Bergonzi (1683-1747). With noted connections to the Ruggieri, Stradivari, and Guarneri families, Bergonzi established his own identity in Cremona with subtle but distinct differences from the work of his peers. Includes ebony Parisian eye pegs and endbutton, Despiau ''A'' level French bridge, ebony tailpiece with E tuner, Guarneri model ebony chinrest, and Pirastro Evah Pirazzi Gold strings (silver G, loop end E).
