Help make a difference at Hartt

December 2012

Dear Loyal Patron of The Hartt School,

As the end of calendar year 2012 approaches, we appeal to you to consider The Hartt School of the University of Hartford in your year-end giving.

If you have experienced a Hartt performance or master class, and enjoy its presence in the cultural life of our community, please remember The Hartt School with a year-end donation.

Your gift can provide much-needed assistance to:

The Hartt Visiting Artists Fund

The fund that brings world-renown artists, scholars and others to Hartt to enrich the learning for our students and the community. Artists like Aaron Copland, Yehudi Menuhin, and the Emerson String Quartet enriched the School decades ago. Today's world-class artists are needed to do the same.

The Hartt Special Project Fund

This fund enables exciting collegiate collaborations between music, dance and theatre to occur and enables our students to showcase their talents across the country. These unique concerts, presentations and residencies allow the creativity of Hartt faculty and students to flourish in ways that directly enhance the quality of education they receive.

The Hartt Scholarship Fund

The collegiate division scholarship fund enables high-achieving and needy students in music, theatre or dance to reach their goal of degree completion.  This fund is for students whose financial circumstances have changed since starting their degree.

The Hartt Fund for Access

This is our Community Division's financial aid program. We annually raise and award more than $100,000 to more than 150 qualified, committed and needy Hartford area students. As you know from experience, high caliber music and dance education is transformative, and therefore your gift will help transform another person's life.

A gift directed to any one of the funds will help The Hartt School continue supporting our students with some of the highest quality education in performing arts available anywhere and benefiting our community with more than 400 thrilling performances per year that showcase the talents and development of these students.
